NFN 84R was new to East Kent, a subsidiary of the National Bus Company (NBC), in June 1977, receiving fleet number 1084. Upon the take over of East Kent by Stagecoach Holdings in 1993 the company was renamed Stagecoach East Kent, part of Stagecoach South and NFN's fleet number changed to 1184. After withdrawal she was acquired by dealer Mike Nash of Weybridge in October 1996. She was subsequently sold to Classic Coaches of High Wycombe and remained with them until she was purchased for preservation by Mike Bellinger of Penge and Carl Underwood of Maidstone in February 2001. She is currently missing several vital components and these will be replaced and a few repairs carried out. After repair to working order she will be repainted into post deregulation East Kent livery.
